Lotus Health
Lotus Health is a health and advocacy program for children under the age of 18 years who have experienced, or may be at risk of experiencing, sex trafficking. Child sex trafficking is a form of human trafficking for the purpose of commercial sexual exploitation of a child. It is a human rights violation and form of child maltreatment with harmful effects.
At Lotus Health, we are dedicated to helping keep children healthy and safe from sex trafficking. We are a multidisciplinary health-care team who provides medical, mental health and peer support services to victims and survivors of child sex trafficking and those at risk.
Our holistic model of care at Lotus Health is child-centred, rights-based and trauma-informed. We work closely with community partners across sectors to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care.
