Specimen type
- Send sample anytime from Mon - Thursday 0800-1600 hr.
- 2X4 mL red top clotted sample, collected, and immediately separated at 37˚C (incubate in 37˚ C dry or wet bath, allow to clot, then centrifuge).
- Send labeled separated serum (2-3 ml) as well as original sample with the requisition.
- If separated serum cannot be sent immediately, store at 1-6˚ C.
Storage and transportation
