SickKids is one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers!

The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) is proud to have been named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2016 by Mediacorp Canada Inc. This is the fourth time in the last five years SickKids has received this award.

SickKids was chosen from applicants from across Canada. Applications are assessed against those of peer organizations based on the following eight criteria: (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere & Social; (3) Health, Financial & Family Benefits; (4) Vacation & Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training & Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement.

“We’ve worked hard to make sure we are supporting employees in a number of ways,” says Susan O’Dowd, Vice-President, Human Resources. “From wellness initiatives to employee assistance programs to education and training opportunities, we want to make sure staff find meaning and value in their work and continue to provide the best for our patients and families.”

The Top 100 Employers were announced on Nov. 9 in a special editorial feature in The Globe and Mail, and are listed on Canada’s Top 100 Employers website.
