For International Youth Day, The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) is celebrating the students who have joined the SickKids Centre for Global Child Health for their summer placements. These students are working with leading research investigators to help improve the lives of children and their families living in Asia, Africa and the Caribbean. As one of the world’s foremost paediatric health-care institutions and Canada’s leading centre dedicated to advancing children’s health, SickKids is in a unique position to make an impact on a global level. The Centre for Global Child Health is dedicated to improving the lives of children and their families in resource-poor environments around the world. Youth have the power to shape their lives and the lives of others to help make a better world.
