Dr. Julie D Forman-Kay announced newest recipient of Canada Research Chairs Program

On Tuesday, February 9, the Canada Research Chair (CRC) Program announced nationally that Dr. Julie D Forman-Kay, Program Head & Senior Scientist in Molecular Structure & Function at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) was appointed a Canada Research Chair in Intrinsically Disorder Proteins. The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science, made the national announcement at The University of British Colombia Tuesday morning.
A Chair is an academic honour bestowed on scientists and clinicians to recognize achievements in their field of study or potential to contribute to an area of study. SickKids, through the University of Toronto, is now home to 31 Canada Research Chairs. The impressive number of Chairs awarded to members of SickKids reflects the excellence and high caliber of the Research Institute’s scientists, clinicians and faculty.
Forman-Kay is a Biochemistry professor at The University of Toronto and has been with SickKids since 1992. Her current research interests include the structure-function relationships, disordered state of proteins as well as protein interactions, motion and structure.
