Update on retroactive lump sum payment for former staff
Summary:
SickKids will include eligible staff who have left the organization in retro lump sum payments. Eligible former staff will receive an email to their last known personal email address and a letter to their mailing address on file.
In light of SickKids’ strong desire to competitively compensate its staff – coupled with the ending of the Bill 124 moderation period and the court ruling deeming Bill 124 unconstitutional – we made the decision to provide a retroactive lump sum payment to eligible current and former staff.
All eligible former staff can expect to receive an email to their last known personal email address and a letter to their mailing address on file. Information will be mailed out the first week of October. This correspondence will include the pay date, instructions on updating banking information and personal address, and an FAQ to help answer questions.
