Her strength from a research perspective evolved to focus on large registry-based studies. She has been very successful in leadership positions in the two major paediatric heart transplant-related databases, both of which are international: the Pediatric Heart Transplant Study and the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation Registry.
Dr. Dipchand’s research activities can be divided into the following topics:
- Antibodies in paediatric heart transplantation
- Outcomes post-listing and post-heart transplantation
- Transplant cardiac allograft vasculopathy
- Long-term Fontan follow up and Fontan failure
