Biography

Dr. Haifa Mtaweh completed her medical studies in Lebanon followed by a paediatric residency at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and a paediatric critical care fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. She joined the Department of Critical Care Medicine at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) initially as a clinical research fellow while completing a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Toronto, then as a staff physician in the paediatric critical care division.

Research

Mtaweh’s academic interests are focused on improving the understanding of metabolism and the practice of nutrition in critically ill children.
