Dr. Lauren Sham is a paediatric neurologist and epileptologist. She specializes in caring for children with drug resistant epilepsy as well as those undergoing evaluation in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. She is the Medical Director of the Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) Program and is on the Executive Committee of the Ontario TSC Network. She is also the SickKids Hub Lead for Project ECHO Ontario: Epilepsy Across the Lifespan.

Research

Sham's current research interests include examining clinical outcomes in children with tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) and evaluation of epilepsy surgery and use of mTOR inhibitors in TSC. She also has a strong interest in neurology global health, capacity building and epilepsy education in low resource settings, with prior experience working in Zambia.
