Cindy Bruce-Barrett

Cindy Bruce-Barrett is a skilled and seasoned leader with a proven record of success in collaborating with senior leadership teams and stakeholders across various healthcare and community sectors, as well as provincial, national and international organizations. With over twenty years of healthcare operations management as well as strategy and corporate planning experience, she has held a variety of progressive positions and has developed a wealth of leadership and management experience within an academic healthcare environment.  

She has been actively involved in healthcare integration projects, partnering with various agencies to improve access across the continuum for complex and vulnerable paediatric patient populations.  

In her current role, Bruce-Barrett acts as a consultant providing facilitation, strategic planning and advisory services for various corporate and clinically based programs internal and external to SickKids. Bruce-Barrett also provides senior leadership for the International patient program as well as overseeing the selection, planning, execution and evaluation of large, complex projects and partnerships supporting achievement of SickKids' international strategy.

• 2009: The Strata Health Solutions Leading Practices Award – Access to Care winner recognizing Paediatric Transition to Rehab – Going with the ‘Flo’ project between Sickkids and Holland Bloorview Kids Rehab
• 2008: Co-investigator Planning for Paediatric Care study under CIHR Operating Grant: Pandemic Preparedness
• 2006–2012: Appointed as Chair of Paediatric Pandemic Planning Work Group to develop the paediatric chapter for the Ontario Health Plan for an Influenza Pandemic
• 2005: Recipient of Ontario’s Wait Time Strategy Innovation Fund supporting development and implementation of the SickKids Ambulatory Referral Management System (ARMs)
